Frequently Asked Questions

Learn about my session style & important details

Session Style

Do you work with couples or kids/teens?

I only work one-on-one with individual clients. I do not offer couples therapy or therapy for children & adolescents at this time.

What can I expect from ongoing therapy?

My approach to therapy is primarily client centered, meaning that my clients guide the focus of sessions. I utilize combinations of cognitive behavioral therapy, with an additional focus on trauma informed care, strength based treatment, and mindfulness. I combine lived experience and clinical interventions to help my clients reach control over their lives.

What can I expect on Day 1?

Day 1 is about getting to know each other. Be prepared to tell me your background and history. It will be the most formal session we have, and it helps me create a realistic picture of your needs and goals.

What areas do you specialize in?

My clients are often young adult professionals, new mothers, and women struggling in their romantic relationships. Some may be dealing with current or past traumas, general anxiety, panic attacks, depression, stress management, or low self esteem. From the outside everything may "look fine" while inside they are battling to keep their heads above water. I often see women who at a crossroads, struggling through a transitional life stage, battling to overachieve & succeed, while also beating themselves up about every thing.

I’m genderqueer. Can you support my journey?

I work with genderqueer people, men, and women — if you are an individual, you are welcome here! I am an ally and supporter of the LGBTQ community, and I am trauma-informed in my approach to treatment. I support people from diverse backgrounds and experiences, and I aim to help you feel safe, supported, and respected during our time together.

What techniques do you use?

I offer a variety of techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brainspotting, Mindfulness, Somatic & Mind/Body Work, and Holistic/Integrative treatment tools.

What’s the process for getting started with you?

The first step is to schedule an initial consultation call, so I can understand your needs and we can determine together if we’re a fit for each other. Even if we don’t end up being a match, I will make every effort to connect you with someone who is more in alignment with your needs.
